Jules
Musculoskeletal physiotherapist
Jules is a highly specialized musculoskeletal physiotherapist with 25 years of postgraduate experience. She gained extensive NHS experience before assuming a role as a Consultant Physiotherapist for the English Institute of Sport. This role encompassed providing physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to a wide range of Olympic athletes, including swimmers, weightlifters, hockey players, and judokas. Additionally, she held a lead role for Badminton England.

Over the last 12 years, Jules has spearheaded injury assessment clinics for the British Army and, more recently, the RAF, involving the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of complex injuries. She was awarded the Military Commanders' Commendation for 'distinguished and meritorious service'. In addition, she obtained a Master’s degree in Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound and received a distinction in Ultrasound Guided Injections—both skills that complement her expertise in injury management.

Jules is an expert in sports injury diagnosis and management, as well as biomechanical assessments. She employs manual therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, taping, and exercise prescription to benefit her patients, prioritizing self-help advice.

Last year, Jules left her position with the MOD to continue providing physiotherapy services as a contractor to the McLaren Formula 1 Race Team. This is a role she aims to continue alongside her work at Physioservices Colchester.
